Riva Society Tigullio è un’associazione sportiva di storici, conservatori, promotori o armatori di scafi originali Riva d’epoca.

L'associazione ha sede nel Barracuda Caffè presso il Grandhotel Miramare dai cui pontili partivano, negli anni ‘50, corsi di sci nautico su Riva Florida e Super Florida frequentati dal jet-set internazionale.
Una cornice paesaggistica e mondana così forte da aver dato ampia eco, nel mondo, al termine di dolcevita, un’atmosfera che oggi è importante rivalorizzare anche quale strategia d’immagine per il territorio.

Ma non solo: il Riva Society Tigullio, che è chapter territoriale dell’importante dipartimento Riva Society Italia, a sua volta filiazione di Riva Historical Society RHS, è il primo ad essere fondato in Liguria, ed è anche il primo sul mare, tra tutti i Riva Society d’Italia: un fatto di grande importanza, perché è un’opportunità per allargare l’associazione anche ai proprietari delle barche Riva di vetroresina degli anni 70/90, che gravitano più al mare che sui laghi e perché certifica l’adeguatezza microclimatica di un territorio che non ha paragoni per fascino ed atmosfere.

Gli obiettivi associativi sono precisi: la conservazione degli scafi Riva e della loro storia (con particolare attenzione a quelli d’epoca), del patrimonio tecnico e culturale che essi rappresentano nella nautica italiana ed internazionale, la promozione e la raccolta di studi e ricerche, l’incoraggiamento al restauro conservativo nel rispetto dei criteri originali, la promozione e la realizzazione di raduni di imbarcazioni Riva e del mondo Riva, di incontri Sociali, oltre ad attività di diporto agonistico/sportivo.

Riva Society Tigullio is a associazione sportiva (sports association) of historians, conservators, promoters or owners of original vintage Riva boats.

The association is based in the Barracuda Caffè at the Grandhotel Miramare from whose piers, in the 1950s, water skiing courses on Riva Florida and Super Florida, attended by the international jet-set, departed.
A landscape and worldly setting so great that it has given wide echo, in the world, to the dolcevita lifestyle, an atmosphere that today is also important to enhance as an image strategy for the area.

Furthermore: Riva Society Tigullio, which is a territorial chapter of the important Riva Society Italia department, in turn a subsidiary of Riva Historical Society RHS, is the first to be founded in Liguria, and is also the first on the sea, among all the Riva Societies of Italy: a fact of great importance, because it is an opportunity to extend the association to the owners of Riva fiberglass boats of the 70s/90s, which gravitate more to the sea than to lakes and because it certifies the microclimatic adequacy of a territory that is unmatched for charm and atmosphere.

The associative goals are precise: the conservation Riva boats and their history (focused to the vintage ones), of the technical and cultural heritage that they represent in Italian and international boating, the promotion and collection of studies and research, the encouragement of conservative restoration in compliance with the original criteria, the promotion and realization of meetings of Riva boats and the Riva world, of Social meetings, as well as competitive / sporting pleasure activities.
